P!nk - Funhouse Tour 2009 - Dortmund

New Website - Storm Large

Some of you may have seen this already, but stormlarge.com has a new design. Adam and I worked on it for the last couple of weeks and we hope you like it too. The functionality of this site is over the top, so make sure to check out all the features.

What you also shouldn't miss is the release of Storm's new CD "Crazy Enough". It is the soundtrack to her autobiography play. I keep you in the loop, once it is online available.

Happy Eastern everyone... enjoy the beautiful sun!

Friends and Tequila...

I do not need to say much and I do not need to name names. But what I do need to say is, that I definitely have the most f*cking amazing friends. The one good thing that comes out of a dark time is that you realize how important your friends are and how much you can count on them.
I am blessed with lots of true and close friends, I know that for sure and I am grateful everyday!
Thank you, you know who you are... let's just hope I remember your names next week ;)

Plagiarism....

Ok, so here's the deal... we all know our favorite pop princess's don't write their songs by themselves (even though they are telling us)... but what is really starting to piss me off is that it looks like producers and songwriters sell their songs to different artists and we as the listeners have to listen to basically the same crap twice...

I know, people will tell me now, "why the hell are you listening to pop music in the first place?" well... i do, so shut up!

My mom is a huge fan of the new single "Halo" from bud-and-boobs-bouncing Beyoncé. After listening to her album, I even had to admit, it was pretty good, even though I never really liked her. Who I do like is Kelly Clarkson, always loved that girl and her voice, so I got her album today... Starting to listen to it and came across "Already Gone"... or should I say "Already heard that tune"??? Same beat, same melody, different lyrics than Beyoncé's Halo... Did a little diggin' and found out it's from the same produce called Ryan Tedder... You obviously can't blame that dude... smart business man if you ask me...

But that is not the only one... I guess by now everyone knows Max Martin, who is probably the best pop songwriter in history... but he also likes to sell his stuff more than once. For example we have Pink - U and Ur Hand VS. The Veronicas - 4 ever...

Oh... or one of my favourite frauds... Avril Lavigne... who did a whole album with ripped of songs but is calling them her own... Yeah! great songwriter qualities Avril :) She stole from The Rubinoos, Chemical Romance or Peaches...

I also remember a few years back we had a situation here in Europe with a dance cover of Madonna's "Like a virgin"... the fun thing was, both songs were published at the same time, huge law suit came along with it.. but, and that's the fun part,... BOTH songs were Top 10 hits at the same time... yeah... THAT'S business baby... "sadly", I have no memory of the artist's names, so I can't show you the covers.

I am sure there are a lot more out there, but my last example has to be from Germany. We have this pop lady called Sarah Connor, who has been ripping off tracks for years, but no one really cares, because her fans are all around age 13. Now she did a tune called "Under my skin"... catchy... well... pop music! Don't ask me how, but I came across a Korean boyband called DBSK by surfing the web. Listening to their new song called "Mirotic" and guess what... I SPEAK KOREAN FLUENTLY!!! God, i have talents, I didn't even know about... excatly the same song, just one in English and one in Korean.

Kleveland - Live in Doetinchem (NL)

I know, I know... it's been a while... I meant to post but I didn't find the time to. I wanted to post pictures of my beautiful beautiful Yamaha APX500... I will... maybe... :)

OK, but now back to the "real news"... I went to Holland yesterday to see Kleveland play in Doetinchem (still can't pronounce it right). Great show, amazing band... you should really check out their MySpace or Website!!! I highly recommend it!
I finally got to meet some people from Portland, OR in person and they turned out to be really sweet ones. Stephanie rocked the house and climbed every object that she could find. That's why I barely have any good photos of her or the band. Most of it is blury and fuzzy...
Before I went I made a quick artwork from one of Laura Domela's shoots... Again.. check out her website if you haven't done that by now.
